Interesting to see the @dcsheriff race on the @NebraskaDems side that close. But Greg Gonzalez advances over Wayne Hudson. He’ll face Aaron Hanson in the general election.

In #NEgov, @jim_pillen closed the gap with @CWHerbster in the fight for second place behind @votelindstrom. But Herbster held on.

For folks who are wondering, these results are being updated with the 10k early voting ballots returned on Tuesday. Those are not opened and counted until today in Douglas Co.

Updated breakdown of numbers from Douglas Co. early vote ballots returned on Election Day: about 10,600 from Tuesday, 4,400 Republicans, 4,500 Democrats. The rest are non-partisans and other parties.

The race to replace term-limited State @SenBLindstrom in west Omaha’s District 18 finished 21 votes apart between the candidate backed by Lindstrom, who will advance, and the candidate backed by @GovRicketts, who will not.

On this tight LD 18 race for second place behind Michael Young, there are 73 or so provisional ballots to be considered that will be counted next week, Friday, according to the election office. So hold onto your hat.

On the tight @mccneb board at-large race for second place between Horsechief and McCarthy that flipped in Douglas Co., McCarthy likely advances. The Sec of State’s Office will update their official numbers on the multi-county race around 2p.

Oh, and Douglas County has a total of about 950 provisional ballots countywide to be evaluated and counted next Friday.
