despite lack of interest by FBi Cyber, FBI Chicago opened "Full Field Counterintelligence investigation" into Alfa Bank (hoax). FBI Counterintelligence believed that this [hoax] was additional predication for the overall [hoax].

So rather than the Alfa Bank hoax being "immaterial" because it was dismissed quickly by FBI Cyber, it was profoundly relevant to the longevity of the overall Russian collusion hoax.

an interesting (new to me) detail: the EC says that FBI "received a referral" from the DOJ (!) on Sep 19. Previously all we knew was that Sussmann met with FBI's Baker on Sep 19. Did he also meet with DOJ? Or is there some sort of circle jerk here?

also, the opening EC refers to a "U.S.-based server that is owned by the Trump Organization". My understanding is that the server was OWNED by Cendyn. Cyber seems to have known that. So how did Counterintel zombies get this wrong?

the odd detail, noted above, about a supposed referral to Chicago FBI by DOJ arose briefly in second day examination of Cyber SSA Scott Hellman. Hellman was not aware of this supposed referral.

Hellman was asked whether it seemed "strange" to him that FBI Chicago "thought the referral came" from DOJ. He said "Absolutely". I wonder WTF was going on. Too bad that we'll probably never know.
