I'm going to start combing through all of the audio exhibits, one by one. Depp stans have posted a lot of contextless clips & I'm going to post the whole recordings & include transcripts and timestamps for examples of Depp being abusive. #IStandWithAmberHeard - Let's get started.

Plaintiff Exhibit 343 (4h 20ish minutes)

Keep in mind I am doing a quick transcription & there might be some slight errors but I am not misrepresenting what is being said intentionally. You’re all free to listen to the whole tape provided.

Right at the beginning of the Plaintiff Exhibit 343 we have Depp admitting to his controlling, irrational and jealous behaviour:

I think at this point in their relationship, JD was still actively trying to fix things, but there's still a lot of gaslighting, evidence of a clear imbalance of power and abuse when they start talking about the fights they had in Toronto - which start @ the 13m mark -

At the 16/18 m mark, Depp tells Heard her memory of the fights is wrong, that he has witnesses he can’t produce who heard it all (gaslighting) - she admits to calling him 2 mean things but then talks about how she sat there & told him she loved him while he screamed - he agreed.

It's particularly important to take note of the fact that Depp puts any little insult or misstep Amber takes on the same level at the things he does. He repeatedly tries to make her just as guilty - or more guilty - than she is. Even when he is far more at fault (DARVO)

It’s interesting that Depp complains about Amber’s memory of the fights not being accurate considering at about the 21:30 mark he literally can’t remember what city certain events took place in:

23 minute mark of exhibit 343 - AH brings up that Depp kicked her. He doesn’t deny it — saying instead that if they record what HE DID they have to record what she did too: which sounds like him admitting it happened to me.

She didn’t do anything to him on that flight.

25:30 — Depp scrambles to list the times that AH hurt him to get them on recording and then challenges her memory again several times, once again, with more gaslighting:

Just because I know it will come up, here is a summary of the door slamming/hitting incident. I didn’t write this - I’ll credit who did if they comment! - I’ll come back to this later when I get to this audio — but now back where we were…

27m — I just find this sad. The gaslighting is clearly working because she’s asking a guy who just confused events in Toronto for events in Venice if *her* memory is okay:

29:16 - Depp tells a super weird lie right after telling Amber her memory is okay; counting only times Amber is talking about herself and Depp she’s said ‘we’ about 30 times. It’s like he’s baiting her — but she doesn’t take it.

At the 40:30 mark, they are talking about going to a couples counsellor and - I think - revisit the Toronto argument?

It comes out that Amber called him a pussy because he didn’t do anything about the fact someone groped her in an elevator:

Continuing on — JD tries to make *her assault* about how hard it was to track down the man who assaulted her & once again we see him comparing her indiscretions to his massive blow-ups. Was he calling her a liar & wh*re bc she was assaulted?? Did he not believe her?

At 44:00, Depp is complaining about the fact she’s upset/annoyed and she apologised so they can refocus. Then he complains about her apologising - she recognises the circular logic @ 44:26 —

Around 47:30/48 AH apologises for getting defensive/flustered & notes that she was that way bc JD becomes meaner/vindictive WHEN she apologises. Like he gets off on her weakness. Abuse is about power & if he is meaner when she apologises — he is getting off on his own power

53:00 - still talking about whether or not to say sorry - again Heard brings up that she is the only person who holds Depp accountable & that he seems to be more angry not only when SHE apologised, but when he does too. So again with the power dynamics —

1h5.30m - Depp asks Heard what she wants - She says that she doesn’t want to be afraid he’ll hit her that he’ll run off. She mentions putting him b4 her career - he takes issue with this & tries to correct her (he’s wrong).

He doesn’t protest that she suggested he’s hit her b4

The next 20 or so minutes are not particularly eventual. You can tell they still love each other. They nearly have an argument about whether Heard said divorce or break-up but settle down & talk about what couples therapist they are going to see. Heard likes Amy Banks’ book.

1h22m They affirm their love for each other several times throughout the tape. Here, Depp seems like he’s leaning closer to taking responsibility but he can’t quite get there. It’s not “I let you down” it’s “it appears like” & he’s still defensive — he just can’t take the L

1h26m - Depp seems to lose the plot here. He drifts, Amber notices & tries to get him to snap back to the conversation, honestly this looks like the cognition problems both Amber & the psych mentioned during the trial to me:

1h30m - overall convo on tape is about if “sorry” should be said before or after explaining - if at all. AH is resistant to JD’s insisting on explanation because it seems that explanations always end with JD shifting blame to her - & she just wants him to think about her feelings

1h33m - AH has talked about how he shifts blame. And then he immediately shifts blame. Says she won’t believe him - which is him pretty much proving she shouldn’t believe he won’t get his hackles up immediately:
