The chapter opens on Riou sitting outside of his tent at his home base's campfire. His old army mate Kubiki (see BB/MTC chapter 7) sits across from him. Riou informs Kubiki of his plan to break their old CO, Major Iojaku, from top security prison during the next DRB. #hypspoiler

Kubiki asks if Riou is fully ready, and Riou admits that he isn't. He still hasn't been able to gather as much info on the prison as he would like. However, he is concerned that Chuuouku may have other weapons besides the Hypmics. #hypspoiler

Given that, Riou and co. can't afford to waste any more time. Once Major Iojaku is free, they can set their sights on overthrowing the government. Kubiki agrees and promises to have the rest of the old squadron join Riou in the prison break. #hypspoiler

However, Riou declines this offer. Chuuouku's security is too good and will find out if any one man tries to sneak inside. It's best for Riou, who has a legitimate reason to be there, to do the job alone. Kubiki hesitates before agreeing to let Riou handle it. #hypspoiler

He offers logistical support, and then he and Riou shake hands to seal the deal.

Meanwhile, Samatoki's relaxing [in his apartment, I think] when the doorbell rings. It's Juuto, who apologizes for stopping by so late at night. But he has an important request to make. #hypspoiler

Samatoki invites him in, and they make themselves comfortable in Samatoki's luxurious living room. [Samatoki is smoking indoors.] Juuto asks if Samatoki knows the Hanmyou-gumi. Yup. Sekirei Hanmyou is their leader, and he's well-known for pushing drugs. #hypspoiler

Samatoki asks if the police are going to bring Sekirei in to use him for their own ends. Does Juuto need Samatoki's help again? Juuto looks uncomfortable for a moment but finally admits that Sekirei is the person who sold the drugs to his parents' murderer and friend. #hypspoiler

Samatoki is suitably shocked. After so long a time? Juuto looks down at his hands and makes a fist. He wants to catch that S.O.B. with his own two hands, and that's why he needs Samatoki's help. Samatoki agrees. After all- #hypspoiler

Juuto finishes the sentence for him. After all, it's about time he beat Sekirei's ass for daring to infringe on Katen-gumi turf. Samatoki stews at being this predictable, so when Juuto gets his attention again, he snaps, "Huh? Whaddya want now?" #hypspoiler

Juuto simply says, "Thank you." Samatoki can't meet his eyes and tries to shrug it off.

The scene shifts to a warehouse, where we find Sekirei examining a shipment of drugs and sampling his own wares to check the quality. #hypspoiler

Much to the seller's relief, they're good. Sekirei tells the seller to pass along his well-wishes to a certain group of ladies for their continued dealings with one another. With the sale concluded, he turns to go, only to find Samatoki and Juuto barring his path. #hypspoiler

Juuto threatens to arrest everyone here, and Sekirei, recognizing the two of them, tries to rile Juuto up. After all, what did HE ever do to Juuto? Juuto angrily informs him that Sekirei's drugs were responsible for the loss of his loved ones. Oh WHAT a shame! #hypspoiler

Too bad he doesn't remember that! Also, is Juuto so chicken-shit he had to bring a yakuza member along to babysit? Samatoki yells at him to shut his trap, but Sekirei only grins and claims he's ready to walk out of this joint with a smile on his face. #hypspoiler

Just then, a woman's voice calls out, and multiple members of the Chuuouku Criminal Affairs Bureau surround Juuto and Samatoki. Honobono walks up giggling and calling Juuto a rude nickname normally only used by Samatoki. #hypspoiler

Time for him to leave the rest of this to her to handle. Juuto begs her to stop, but Samatoki cuts him off and demands to know where the hell Honobono came from. She teases him with an overly familiar name too. What's Nemu's big broski doing her as well? #hypsoiler

Wait, she knows Nemu? But of course! Honobono claims they're as close as sisters. Just then, one of her subordinates informs her that they've successfully arrested all the Hanymou-gumi members. Honobono doesn't even look away and dismisses the subordinate. #hypspoiler

She tells Juuto and Samatoki she'll have to play with them again later, as it's time for her to go. Juuto runs to block her way. This is under the jurisdiction of the Yokohama police, not Chuuouku! She has no right! He demands an expla- #hypspoiler

Honobono cuts him off and lightly taps him on the shoulder. He's in her way, so she suggests he moves. Now. He gulps, and she breezes past him.

[For those curious, she seems to be slightly shorter than him. However, it could only be the angling of the panel.] #hypspoiler

As Sekirei is led out in handcuffs, he leers at Juuto and goes, "Remember what I said?" His laughter echoes around the walls of the warehouse as Juuto swears and stares down at the ground in defeat.

In the meantime, Saburou and Ichirou are eating breakfast at home. #hypspoiler

Jirou never ended up coming home after all, Saburou points out. He hesitates and then asks the million dollar question. Why doesn't Ichirou ever talk about their mom? Ichirou admits that what he thinks he knows may not even be true. #hypspoiler

He didn't want to confuse Saburou with vague information. Also... he doesn't believe that there's any value in the truth unless one finds it out themselves. Thus, he didn't want to say anything until he wrapped up the whole thing on his own. #hypspoiler

Saburou looks pleasantly surprised but then says that makes sense. At any rate, today is the day of the prelims. Will Jirou be back in time?

At the prelims themselves, Saburou and Ichirou stand in their dressing room and wonder about what to do. #hypspoiler

Is Jirou not coming after all? Just then, the door opens, and who should it be but a particularly grim-faced Jirou. Thank goodness he's in time! He won't tell them where he's been, but there's no time for any other questions. They rush out to the stage. #hypspoiler

The BBs get smacked around by the enemy team. Fortunately, they're able to pull off a win in the nick of time, but it's a close thing.

Back in the dressing room, Ichirou is putting band-aids on Saburou when he notices Jirou starting to leave again. #hypspoiler

Before Ichirou can ask where he's going, Jirou slams the door shut, leaving his concerned brothers behind.

Meanwhile outside, a couple crowd members discuss the match. The opposing team wasn't even that strong, but the BBs would have lost if not for Ichirou. #hypspoiler

Well... that's certainly interesting, muses an older man standing nearby. "If not for Ichirou", hmm? He lights a cigarette. Was this really all it took to destroy the BB's trust in one another? At this rate, the two BBs might end up in his hands after all... in Rei's. #hypspoiler
