#Russia: This morning two Russian cities were woken by explosions - the Ukrainian army fired on targets in #Belgorod and #Kursk, however neither were successfully hit according to preliminary information.

In the case of Belgorod the UAF used at least one Tochka-U tactical missile with either HE or cluster warhead (the Russian Ministry of Defense says three of them with cluster warheads were launched, but all were shot down).

As the governor of Belgorod Oblast says one of the Tochka-U was intercepted by Russian air defense systems but the wreckage of the missile fell on a civilian building killing 4 and injuring 4 more.

Judging by the booster of the 57EB AA missile, the Tochka-U was likely intercepted by a Pantsir-S1 SAM system - and we assume it did not destroy the ballistic missile in the air, but knocked it off course, sending it to a residential area.

As for Kursk, it seems it was once again targeted by Ersatz-cruise missiles based on ancient Tu-143 unmanned aircrafts - but both were shot down before reaching the target. No other damage is recorded at the moment.
