We will Judge them by their RECORDS!

One of the MAJOR issues we have in Nigeria is #PoliceReform & I'm sure we all agree on this irrespective of party affiliation.
No need to run around from one TV station to another, what Tinubu, Atiku & Obi DID in 8 years & its SUSTAINABILITY should be a pointer to their CAPACITY.
During #NBAAGC2022 the INCOMING Vice President @KashimSM said "Our successes in Lagos, Borno show we'll hit the ground running immediately"...
Let's test it again:
36 Governors were sworn in on 29th May 1999, by
6th July 1999, @officialABAT was already on POLICE REFORM in Lagos!
6th July 1999 was less that 2 months from May 29 when all Governors were sworn in.
Gov Tinubu of Lagos was in the opposition, President Obasanjo& Atiku of PDP at the centre couldn't stop him from going ahead with Lagos Rapid Response Squad @rrslagos767.
Other 35 Governors??
As far back as 1999, Gov Tinubu said "I want to assure you that you will see and you will feel the difference"....He also spoke about Community based Neighborhood watch.
Listen, that was July 1999, this is 2022, no State security has come close to that of Lagos.
He's far ahead!
As he admitted in that inaugural speech when he was setting up @rrslagos767 for Lagos that it would be a learning process on which improvement would be built on, successive Governors in Lagos have built on that, yet Nigeria is still grappling with the same issue across 35 States!
In the world of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, @PoliceNG deserves our collective respect & this was made obvious in his speech on 9th July '99, the way @rrslagos767 was equipped, trained & supported in Lagos, even the worst enemy of Lagos will admit RRS standard is needed in Nigeria!
When @fkeyamo was granting interview and he said Lagos is Lagos because a thinking leader like Tinubu hit the ground running with SPECIFIC POLICIES whose blueprints that have been well sustained by his successors, the way @officialABAT took up #PoliceReform in Lagos proved that!
Having stated in his speech the need to get security to the grassroot, existing Neighborhood Watchin Lagos was redesigned & was given more prominence to make d issue of Security LOCAL. This was why Lagos had no need of Amotekun 20 years after even though they're in full support!
When Gov Fashola took over from Tinubu, he
injected public-private partnership by setting up a committee headed by the former IGP Musiliu Smith to look into ways of bringing private sector into security. That was done & Lagos State Security Task Force was formed. @followlsstf
BRF didn't drop the ball, he started life insurance policy for @rrslagos767.
Bulletproof vests, thousands of patrol vehicles,
monthly allowance to augment the salaries they receive from the FG etc were the ways Fashola took it higher. Gov Ambode came & added to the progress.
Lagos State Security Trust Fund at d Civic Centre Lagos generated over N2B largely from the private sector when Gov Fashola made that move.
Gov Ambode got in & ensured they were further equipped with patrol cars; Ford Ranger pick–ups; Land Cruiser pick-ups; Power Bikes etc...
Gov @jidesanwoolu has been taking both @rrslagos767 and Neighborhood watch to a new level. This CONTINUITY in Lagos is VISIBLE because someone took the sensible initiative very early, hence others have something to build upon because you cannot build something on nothing.
On 9th October 2020, I spoke about modeling Nigerian Police Force after Lagos RRS. If it's working, no need to break it, just reinvent it and make it better.
The question we should have asked all the while is, what were other 35 Governors doing in 1999?
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu already has a track record of Turning things around, his records SPEAKS louder than running from one TV station to another....
His Records have been speaking on what he is capable of doing about SPECIFIC ISSUES that Nigeria is still tackling till date.
I'm very PROUD of what President Buhari has been able to do so far. Projects that couldn't be done in 16 years & even a decade before 1999, Buhari came & made them look like "ORDINARY 2nd Niger Bridge, ORDINARY TRAIN, ORDINARY ROADS"
