1. Whoa. I hadn't seen this state-funded Mississippi Sovereignty Commission Q&A stating its members' views. Thanks, @mulejail. Here's quick thread of my annotated highlights. First:
Uh huh. Everybody knew who lynched Mack Charles Parker down in Bilbo-land, you lying sacks o' shit

2. Not sure of the date of this doc, but Bryant and Milam confessed to Emmett Till's torture and murder in Look Magazine in January 1956. #msleg formed this racist/terrorist Sovereignty Commission in March 1956.

So.

3. Just saw you know how much "Negro blood" (not a thing) it took to be considered inferior to white people. It used to be one drop; these dumbasses probably thought 1/8 was downright humane and progressive. 🖕

4. Ah, the God-given right to not allow Black people to live in the same neighborhood.

(Remember, Ronald Reagan pandered to this obsession later when running for governor and then president. "Property rights," wink, wink.)

5. These Sovereignty Commission types just loved a logical fallacy dripping with hot, steaming racism TO PIECES.

(Too many of their kids+grandkids still do. Look to your left and right and decipher their codes and logical fallacies. Be better, to quote the brilliant Michelle O)

6. Come on. White people were decidedly NOT being asked "how many bubbles in a bar of soap?" as a literacy question—and we damn well all know it.

We also know who could afford that poll tax and who mostly likely couldn't under Mississippi full apartheid, including economic.

7. Right, no Black people wanted kids to go to "white" schools, and they constantly admitted supposed "inferiority," yadda, yadda, racist yadda.

8. "Not in my generation."

Yep, they're trespassing until you decide that money is green and all spends the same, even if you despise the people paying it to you and make them eat their food outside. Uh huh.

9. Riiiggghhhttt, it was about protecting Black children from interracial marriage. Y'all were just lying; you know you were obsessed about "Black blood" (still not a thing) screwing up all that supposedly superior "white blood." Stop your lying, sacks of stinkin' racist shit.

10. Let's get this straight: Black Mississippians had to "qualif(y) themselves for equality" under your rules after being forced to attend subpar—and under-funded (cough, MAEP)— public schools. Stupid circular logic much? Maybe your ties were choking off oxygen to your brains?

11. "Personal hygiene"

EVERYONE OF YOU SMUG RACIST SUMBITCHES NEED TO ROT IN HELL IF YOU AREN'T ALREADY FOR SPREADING THIS NOXIOUS POISON.

12. Yeah, yeah, it was all about that one hothead dude.

Years back, I dubbed this scapegoating the "Krazy Klucker in the Korner" syndrome—business-suit racists ALWAYS going to blame it all on THAT ONE REDNECK who couldn't behave.

Again, go to hell if you haven't yet, dudes.

13. When all else fails, just blame Russia.

But this is laughable Mississippi had a "free press." Ask the first Mississippi Free Press, Delta Democrat-Times and Hazel Brannon Smith just how free it was as Jackson Daily News and Clarion-Ledger stoked white terrorism. 🤥

Also, Mississippi racists, white terrorists and apologists for it ALWAYS pointed to violence somewhere, anywhere by a Black person against a white person to justify state-supported white terrorism against Black people. It was a Citizens Council specialty.

This still happens.
