Sustained a complaints against this cop for illegal search of car, and illegal search of backpack.
He also made a ghost gun arrest on Hollywood Blvd and La Brea (defendant claimed cop lied and committed illegal search).
Public defender investigator reached out to me asking about his history. End result: charges dropped (just had to take 60 min gun safety class).
From here on out, whenever he makes a search that produces evidence, a defense attorney will be able to show his penchant for violating the fourth amendment. That’s why it’s important to get these people on tape, and challenge their shady stops.
Looks like the supervisor that personally investigated this sustained complaint. While he had the illegal search sustained, he threw out another part of the complaint that should have undeniably been sustained.
He’s the complaint coordinator. He told me the only way to get a sustained complaint for “biased policing” would be if the officer “admitted to it.”
Thats why there’s NEVER been a sustained & upheld complaint for biased policing/profiling in LAPD history.
I did love the part where the LAPD claimed he did NOT fail to identify.
Count how many times he failed to ID for yourself:
