Yesterday, For Women Scotland held a demo against the gender recognition reforms at the Scottish Parliament.

The biggest moment comes from JK Rowling expressing solidarity with an interesting shirt choice.

This is a more clear version of the top JK Rowling wore. It says "Nicola Sturgeon destroyer of womens rights" in a dictionary style.

Further down it says "SCAB" an insult used in the trade union movement but in this case suggesting Sturgeon is a traitor to her own sex class.

But this isn't the first time we have seen this shirt. Earlier this year we saw 2 activists from a group called Scottish Feminists staged a protest inside the Scottish Parliament itself to delay the gender recognition reforms.

This action was supposed to be much bigger. This photo was taken shortly after most of the group was refused entry into Scottish Parliament. I know this because I was stuck behind them in the queue at security gate.

At the same time the Edinburgh Greyfriars Bobby Fountain was draped in the shirt and “supporters” shared the “Nicola Sturgeon Destroyer of womens rights” design in their local areas. (None of these pictures included anyones face)

The design itself comes from Kellie Jay Keen aka Posie Parker an anti-feminist, far right, gender critical activist who isn’t afraid to be associated with Nazi imagery.

While the shirt design with scab is no longer being sold on her site, you can still get it in sticker form and there are scabless options available.

Ironically, the For Women Scotland demo yesterday clashed with not just one but two Trade Union demonstrations.

The first was the RCN demo were they were launching ballot action and then the CWU also had a demonstration afterwards.

Therefore we had JK Rowling calling the First Minister of Scotland a "SCAB" while supporting demonstrations that clashed with Trade Union eevents in the exact same area, one of which, the RCN, has an high proportion of women members.

tldr: JK Rowling wore a shirt designed by a fascist to call the First Minister of Scotland a scab for promoting trans rights. The billionaire did this to promote a gender critical demo that clashed with two Trade Union demos in the exact same area.
