🆕🧵 Here’s my thread for todays 3-2 win away to #Woking

A brilliant professional performance. The 1st half we were second best but still took our chances, and second half we didn’t give them a sniff

We still have things to work on but I cannot wait for the next game #Notts

The 2nd goal is a thing of beauty, and is all about the build up in the middle. I touched on this in the week, I feel Scott has such a well rounded game, & he shows it here with the chest down & the finish too. Ruben’s pass is technically perfect and great width from Chicks

Cedwyn once again starts a move and also finishes it, and his overall game was so accomplished, and his movement was superb. Macca didn’t get a goal in this game but this contribution was as good as; he keeps the ball alive and makes it possible for his partner to tap in

The first goal (or the move that won the penalty) actually came from the left. I thought it was interesting that we adapted well to Woking nullifying our right side where we usually attack down. Chicks had a superb game, and his direct running causes them issues; it wins the pen

Geraldo Bajrami @geraldo_bajrami was the best player on the pitch. He won everything, broke up their play but also showed his class and finesse throughout. Look at this pass here, typifying his performance; pure class. His range of passing seems to always improve too

Aaron shows great persistence down the right, and also great composure considering he didn’t get as much of the ball as usual. His maturity to cut back and pass it is high. Macca was dangerous despite not scoring, and what sets him apart is the urgency of his work; shoots ASAP

Skipper had an excellent game from LCB, and once again he got into the half space and caused issues. Instead of his clipped cross his chooses to pass and move here, showing great variety. I love the run here; we should look to make more of his overlaps @Kylecam97

The positioning and cushioned header from Nemane are pleasing here, showing he has the finesse to play good football in the opposition box. Ruben is such a pleasing player to watch, and his positioning is excellent. That open play goal will come if he continues like this

Their first goal; I decided to start the clip here as it shows that Sam was under pressure before the incident, and that the warning signs were there. Unlike many sides, Woking acc pressed, and he never looked that comfortable. This passage of play could have gone differently

The slow mo really reinforces the poor decision, and this is what it felt like watching in real life. It seems so obvs that he will cut across and that cutting back or going long are better choices. Hindsight is wonderful tho, and Sam will come back stronger from this

Here the perils of playing the high line are evident, and this is something we will have to live with as we will not compromise on the high line (nor do I think we should). Sam’s starting positioning is going to be crucial, and Tbf we don’t always play sides who have the quality

Another long ball undoes us, and whilst I’m always complimentary of Brinds I have to be fair and say this isn’t his best work. He lets Amond free initially, and has to recover as a result. When he does get in a good position he leaves far too big of a gap, allowing him to shoot

That’s it, that’s the thread. An awesome away day and a brilliant 3 points from the boys. Played some great stuff at times and deserved the win imo
