It is indicated you may have breached sections 46(1) & 47(1) of The Human Medicines Regulations 2012 by supplying your friends and/or family with prescribed antibiotics
It is only right you stand down from @DHSCgovuk to prevent bringing it into disrepute.
Furthermore, @trussliz should be proactive in asking for Ms Coffey's resignation to ensure confidence on government & their ability to uphold the law.
As would be fit, @CPhilpOfficial should be making a referral to @MetCC to ensure no offences have been committed by Ms Coffey
I ask @DHSCmedia to comment on whether they condone the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care potentially breaking the law by sharing her prescribed antibiotics with family and/or friends.
This is an extremely serious matter which must be addressed without delay.
In addition, it falls to fellow Health Ministers: @RobertJenrick, @willquince, @drcarolinej & @NeilDotObrien, to firmly oppose & condemn the sharing of prescribed medications with family and friends.
They must do this without delay to ensure public safety, as should @CMO_England
.@CommonsHealth members should draft an immediate letter of concern to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care regarding her comments on sharing medication.
It is not tenable that Ms Coffey remains in post given the gravity of the situation.
@MHRAgovuk should be releasing a statement highlighting the dangers of sharing not only antibiotics, but any prescribed medication with another person.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the UK has openly excused and promoted the sharing of medicines.
This is dangerous & risks lives
If I said on here I was giving my prescription medications to family or friends, you absolutely know I'd be under investigation.
The Health Secretary bragged about it in a national newspaper!
I don't see how @SuffolkPolice, her constituency force, can't not investigate?

It is absolutely imperative that Ms Coffey rescinds her comments on sharing prescribed medications and stands down from high office without delay.
NHS Staff deserve better.
While I'm in hospital myself, I did put in the effort on researching the legislation etc.

UPDATE: Deputy Prime Minister & Health Secretary @theresecoffey admits to the comments attributed to her regarding sharing of antibiotics, but says she "won't do so again in the future."
This isn't acceptable, an offence has possibly been committed & damage already done.

NEW - A report has been made to @SuffolkPolice by a member of the public regarding comments made by Deputy PM & Health Secretary @theresecoffey indicating she shared her Prescription Only Medication (POM) with family & friends.
I have asked Suffolk Police for comment.
