Attended the 153rd Authority Meeting of Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) chaired by CM @mieknathshindeji, at Mantralaya, Mumbai yesterday. Chief Secretary, MMRDA Commissioner, Secretaries, Collectors were present for the meeting too.

Many decisions were taken in the meeting which will be important for smooth travel and help with better living to the citizens of all districts MMRDA region.
Highlights of the meeting are as follows:

Witnessed with CM @mieknathshinde ji, the signing of MoU of ₹30,483 cr between @MMRDAOfficial and REC Ltd (a NavRatna Company under @MinOfPower), for various works for 9 Mumbai Metro Lines. This is a resource mobilisation partnership between 2 organisations.

✔️Approval for various measures and projects to decongest traffic issues at Teen Hath Naka of #Thane was given.
Beautification projects of Railadevi Lake (Talav) in Thane and many other development projects in Thane were approved.

✔️Approval for projects in C-69-C and C-69-D plots in BKC too were given as many new projects and investments are coming up in #Mumbai .

✔️Estimated ₹ 17,214 cr project works like bridges, tunnels, coastal roads, roads are required to decongest the traffic situation in Mumbai, Thane & Navi Mumbai.

Approval was given to to prepare a feasibility report and DPR ( Detailed Project Report).

✔️₹ 1444.73 cr approval was given for Deharji Medium Irrigation Project at Vikramgad, Palghar.

✔️Approvals like ₹ 633 crore loan for Mumbai Metro 9 and 7A,
Metro Bhawan at Dahisar,
Works on Airoli-Katai Naka Highway,
Revised costs for and other approvals for Surya Project for water supply were given to.

Approval for Feasibility Study and DPR & process was given for the project
"Construction of Elevated/Subway for traffic communication from Orange Gate, East Freeway to Marine Drive to Sea Coast Road in Mumbai City”.
This will help solve major traffic issue in the said patch.

Approvals to take forward the Mumbai - Ahmedabad Bullet Train project by handing over the land to National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd - NHSRCL were also given.

Administrative approval for revised amount of Rs. 81.53 crore for construction of transport system and multi-storey parking system in railway station area within Ambernath Municipal Council limits was given.

Rehabilitation works in Patan taluka of Satara district for villages and people affected due to unseasonal rains and floods was approved too.
