This is video I took at today’s @CleCityCouncil Caucus meeting. I was there to take notes for @cledocumenters. Council is not recording or live-streaming caucus meetings. #CLEDocumenters #CLECityCouncil #OpenGovernment

When you click on the video, it turns upright to a horizontal view. The sunlight coming in from 2 big windows had an impact on the video quality. This is the 1st time I’ve livestreamed anything so it was less than perfect.

I planned to record with my iPhone on a tripod. The twitter app wouldn’t let me livestream. I used my iPad instead. It doesn’t have the same video quality. When I recorded the slides, they looked clear. But they’re blurry on video. It’s not TV 20 but it’s better than nothing.🎥📺

When I arrived for the caucus meeting, the Mercedes Cotner Committee Room doors were closed & locked. I was early, but I worried I was locked out of the meeting. Thankfully @signalcleveland reporter @NickCastele was already there waiting. He said the doors would be opened soon.

I just realized they had the wrong meeting notice posted on the door. This morning’s Health, Human Services & the Arts Committee meeting was cancelled.

The following council members were present: @Griff4CLE6, Mike Polensek, @jsantanaward14, @jennyspencercle, @rebecca__maurer, @ADayInTheSlife, @kazy_brian, @KrisHarsh, @HairstonCCC10, @stephaniehowse & @KBishopCLEWard2. Later @R1chardStarr arrived.

Cuyahoga County executive candidate Democrat @chrisronayne spoke to @CleCityCouncil members for more than a half hour about his plans for Cleveland if he wins next month’s election.

The Q&A session covered a wide range of topics — housing, homelessness, homestead property tax exemption, social services, ARPA spending, a proposed new jail & justice center, lobbying state lawmakers in Columbus & the list goes on.

Chris Ronanyne posed for a group photo with Cleveland City Council members before he left.

Later 3 unnamed @CityofCleveland employees gave a presentation about the Community Benefit Ordinance. It would be so nice if people could say who they are & where they work. The meeting ended when the fire alarm went off.

Stay tuned for my Cleveland City Council Caucus meeting notes. I will share them when they’re posted on @cledocumenters’ website.👇
