As announced yesterday, Villainous’ pilot was aired by Cartoon Network Latin America this Monday through special block #Scoobtober. This airing represents the episode’s return ever since its last appearance back in October 31th.
To audiences’ surprise, the original English version of Villainous’ pilot was REDUBBED by new dub artists, replacing the original cast.
It is thanks to newly released dub credit’s that we can now put a name to the Miami’s dub house Demencia´s original voice actress Melaney Mills referred to on a recent podcast interview. We're talking about VOA Studios Miami.
It is essential to state the UNAVAILABILITY of this dub as of right now though its credits are already featured at the end of the episode.
This unreleased version presents Yian Ruiz as Dr. Flug, originally voiced by A. Sayer. While Cindy Eliz replaces Melaney Mills as Demencia.
At the same time, Sunblast, who was originally voiced by Herschel “IV” Hatcher is now interpreted by Roly Gutierrez and Jinon Deeb played Penumbra instead of original voice actress, Amanda Rose.
Cindy Eliz Pérez works at VOA Studios and specializes in language audiovisual localization and post-production, she was the one to translate this new pilot dub. Just like Melaney did, Cindy works in audio post-production and voices Demencia in the Villainous' English dub.
Though unavailable at this moment, this new adaptation of The Dreadful Dawn may get international fans' hopes up in regards of getting new Villainous content in English.
A fact that needs to be stated is that @AlanIturiel is still Black Hat’s voice for both the English and Spanish Villainous’ dub (for the pilot at least).
The existance of an English dub for Villainous full series might be indirectly revealed this Tuesday 25th via Carton Network Latin America's Scoobtober block.
In this occasion, first season's second episode of the 2021 series, 'Boo!-lldozing',will be aired and may surprise us with English dub credits starring the new Villainous English cast.
Let's not forget this episode, as well as the ones that follow it, do not have a confirmed English dub to this date.
As a fun fact, Cartoon Network Brazil went through a similar scenario this Monday, by releasing a redubbed version of the pilot featuring a new brazilian cast.
