🧵You should vote for a Republican Governor if you want to stop transgender ideology from taking over your schools.

Case Study: How Democrat @GovernorTomWolf brought Drag Queen Story hour to 1st grade classrooms in Philadelphia.

In 2014, Linda Hawkins Co-Founded the CHOP Gender Clinic, In her CV she lists “Developed the business plan and founded the Philadelphia clinic” and “securing nearly 100% rate of insurance coverage for puberty blockers.” Nadia Dowshen was the other clinic co-founder.

A 2015 document titled, “Ensuring Comprehensive Care and Support for Gender Non-Conforming Children and Adolescents”, co-authored by Hawkins and Dowshen, they explain how Governors can “take action,” to help expand insurance coverage for Gender-Affirming Care.

Governor Tom Wolf is fully on board with gender affirming care for minors.

Rachel Levine describes that in 2014 a member of Democrat Tom Wolf’s campaign team, who she’d met through an LGBTG+ advocacy group, recruited Levine to join the administration as Physician General.

Rachel Levine, Nadia Dowshen (CHOP) and the PA Youth Congress were part of Rachel Levine’s state LGBTQ+ workgroup. They worked together to stop HB 1933, a bill that prohibited the use of taxpayer dollars to provide gender surgery or gender transitions services through CHIP.

Both the ACLU and CHOP were opposed to this bill and wanted gender transition services to continue being funded by public pediatric insurance. The CHOP Gender Clinic provides gender transitioning medical services as well as gender surgery referrals to minors.

While explaining how expensive gender affirming hormone therapy is, Nadia Dowshen praised Rachel Levine saying, “in the state of Pennsylvania we have a really wonderful advocate...she has been doing amazing work to make sure young people have coverage of these medications.”

Rachel Levine and Tom Wolf were big supporters of the CHOP gender clinic, as seen in many social media posts. Levine even attended the 5 year Gender clinic celebration which included a trans flag made of cupcakes.

In addition to gender affirming medical care, the CHOP Gender clinic also provides trainings for educators and counselors. Audio from a training encouraged teachers keep gender identity secret from parents, as reported by the Daily Caller.

In their 2021 list of accomplishments, the clinic said they’d trained hundreds of educators and counselors in PA and NJ. They also helped kids receive gender affirming surgery, “our clinic has been supporting many of our families in accessing gender-affirming surgical care.”

Linda Hawkins explained she’d been working with Rachel Levine to provide gender affirming trainings for mental health providers across the state to, “Support transgender and gender expansive and gender nonbinary patients and clients of all ages..”

The relationship between Rachel Levine and the CHOP Gender Clinic has brought gender ideology to many Pennsylvania schools.

Yesterday, Philadelphia parents were informed their 1st graders would be having a drag queen story hour in their classrooms.

These policies trickle down from state leadership.

In PA, @JoshShapiroPA Shapiro is endorsed by the Human Rights Campaign, which supports drag queen story hour. Josh Shapiro has advocated for men using girls bathrooms and gender affirming care in minors.

Elections have consequences. Rachel Levine is now advocating at the national level for minors to have gender affirming surgery and irreversible hormonal treatment, in part because Pennsylvania elected Democrat Tom Wolf.

Your Governor matters. Vote Red.
