Amazing turnout at our Funders Fair today at the amazing @ealing_project in Ealing Broadway.

Over 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ attendees

And 1️⃣2️⃣ fantastic funders

Our CEO, Elly welcomes everyone to screening room 2️⃣📽🍿. 🧵

Helen Mathie, Director of Collaboration @LondonFunders, kicks things off with a funding overview for London.

A big focus (outside of crisis mode) is #collaboration.

Next up: Ealing boy, Glen Fendley, Director of Fundraising and Partnerships @LondonYouth shares the average spend per young person in London is:

£3️⃣7️⃣1️⃣ vs

£6️⃣7️⃣ in Ealing

There is a lack of level playing field between inner and outer London.

Ealing needs investment!

Now for Funder Presentations!

First we hear from Caroline and Marisa from local funder and housing association, A2 Dominion.

@A2DCommunities

Next up: Sue Barnard - Senior Relationship Manager at Arts Council @ace_national giving an overview of their @TNLUK National Lottery Project Grants.

They stress that they want to make applications as accessible as possible and support to apply is available should you require it.

Rhys Evans, Community Projects Manager at @catalysthousing is up next, talking about their community-led approach to funding.

Stresses that #Ealing doesn't have as many established partnerships as other areas, but can see this improving thanks to the work of @young_ealing 🤩

Maeve and Natasha from BBC Children in Need (@BBCCiN) up next, with the amazing news that they are now funding both core and project costs (🥳) and want to focus on funding smaller, local grassroots organisations (🥳🥳)

They have also launched a new strategy ✨️

Next, we hear from Khadra and Aasha - Funding Managers from @CityBridgeTrust.

They share insights about who they fund, their decision making process and invite attendees to approach them after to find out about their 1️⃣4️⃣ Funding streams.

Top tip: read the website 🌐

Next we hear from Evelyn Gloyn, Community Outreach Manager from @EalingCouncil who shares information about their platform dosomethinggood.org.uk

As well as their funding priorities, which are available on their website and their new 'warm places' grant launching tomorrow.

Our penultimate funder is Mark Robbins, CEO of local grant-maker The Freshwater Foundation who support small local and local organisations.

Their focus is small amounts for small, local organisations: under £200k with a strong voluntary element.
