🤯Lots of problems.
The CORE issues I see:
Covid🦠killed the red wave.

Dems embraced the new world of mail-in ballots, early voting, harvesting and the 7̶2̶-̶h̶o̶u̶r̶ 72-day GOTV plan.
By state. Pennsylvania:
- 2018: 164K mail-in ballots
- 2020 (Covid) 2.6 million
- 2020:

Dems kept nearly 47% of their 2020 homebody voters. GOP, only 40%. 2.2 million voter pulled the lever for Oz in person. Only 1.7 million for Fetterman. 🤷🏻‍♂️

In Nevada, Laxalt is losing by 22,000.
Mail-in diff: +DEM 26,000

Wisconsin: Johnson squeaking by as the incumbent.

Georgia:
Walker down by 35,000.
Dem+ 200K on the ballots:

Over the weekend I predicted that legacy Covid policies could seriously soften the Red Wave.
covidreason.substack.com/p/covid-killed…

When early voting became the norm, the GOP didn’t really change anything. When Covid became an excuse to upend everything about elections, the GOP did little to adapt. Republicans need to shift their GOTV mentality from 72 hours to 72 days. Dems won on 25% fewer voters in booths.

7 states changed the way they vote because of Covid fears. Universal mail-in, absentee, curing ballots, deadlines, harvesting ballots. Only 9 rolled things back. Dems adapted. GOP did not.
