I mean this sincerely when I say that ChatGPT might be the most incredible tech to emerge in the last decade.

Here's how I got it to create a weight loss plan, complete with calorie targets, meal plans, a grocery list, and workout plan 🧵:

First, I asked it to calculate my TDEE. It didn't do it at first so I had to explicitly ask it to run the calculation.

Based on my height, weight, age, and gender, it was able to calculate a TDEE of 2168 calories.

Next, I asked it to calculate a calorie deficit that would help me lose 15 lbs over 4 months.

It determined that I would need a 488 caloric deficit per day, or ~1680 calories.

Then, I decided to ask it for a sample meal plan, knowing that my max calorie intake is 1700 calories per day.

I said that I only wanted lunch and dinner and for each meal to take under 30 minutes to prep.

Gave me an ok result but we had to go further.

I asked it for macros and instructions and it did better but somehow ended up at 1168 calories per day (lol I'd probably die).

The breakdowns of macros was fascinating.

I asked it to add more food since I'll die if I only eat 1200 calories and here is what it recommended.

Good enough suggestions ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ moving on

I then asked it to augment the data into a table with daily meals and it nailed it.

Here's a sample meal plan generated in ~10 seconds. Honestly not bad.

If I wanted to, I bet I could get it to include macros in each cell and separate recipes for each.

This is a lot of stuff to plan for so I asked chatGPT to generate a grocery list in bullets. Honestly incredible:

Some notes:
* You could probably get way more specific by telling it the types of cuisines you like
* You could probably customize this based on cost per meal and bundling ingredients
* You could probably ask it to include specific meals or meals that would be best for reheating

Finally, we needed a workout plan. Here were my constraints:
* Lift 3 days a week
* No more than 45 min per workout
* Goal is to get lean

It didn't really give me what I was looking for.

I asked it to expand and had to reframe my question a couple of times to get what I was looking for.

Still not perfect.

So, in about 20 minutes I got:
* Diet plan
* Meal plan
* Grocery List
* Workouts

Unreal tech!

Also lol I am currently rate limited but will try to get the workout plan I am looking for later.
