What is @KaspaCurrency ?

#Kaspa is a Proof of Work Layer 1 blockchain

$KAS has implemented the GHOSTDAG protocol. Unlike traditional blockchains, GHOSTDAG does not orphan blocks created in parallel, but rather allows them to coexist and orders them in consensus.

Lets dive in!

@KaspaCurrency has a vision ispired by Satoshi Nakamoto but with 1000x better speed.

What is GhostDAG?

Basically Nakamoto vision with extreme fast blocks and transactions!

$KAS uses a BlockDAG structure which increases scalability, making blockchain use more energy efficient but still secure as $BTC

They are a crazy buildiers cuz currently they have a speed of 1 block per second and they want to achieve even 100 blocks per second.

If they will get near to that number I will be more than impressed!

Transactions sent to miners can be included immediately in the ledger that`s why it`s so fast!

Using GhostDAG, Kaspa’s consensus layer removes security as a bottleneck for high throughput, allowing block rate and block size increase up to what the network can handle.

$KAS also have a feature called Pruning:

It`s a method to reduce the size of the blockDAG. This prevents nodes from having to keep registry of very large amounts of blockDAG data. Due to the pruning mechanism, Kaspa nodes only needs ~3 days of prior history to be stored.

They are also working on what they call DagKnight consensus.

That`s an evolution of the GHOSTDAG protocol and will theoretically lay down the groundwork for even faster transaction and confirmation times.
