Russian invasion forces captured the entire industrial part of #Bakhmut and advanced into the eastern residential areas.
They also captured 80% of Opytne, south of the city.
Ukrainian forces attempt to counterattack and regain at least the residential areas in the E & S.
From Butusov's video, you can see very well where the Russian ground troops came from, how they advanced and where they were met with stiff resistance.
I adjusted my map of the East a bit, giving the Ukrainian claims that they still hold one factory and drove out the Russians from the eastern residential areas.
This is disputed by the Russians, but as long as there is no visual evidence, I'll go with the Ukrainian version.
Unfortunately, the Butusov video does not show the end of the battle and whether the Russians fled again (or were all killed), but I'll go with his accompanying report, saying they drove them out again.

Grad barrage, hitting central eastern Bakhmut this morning.
Frankly, I cannot say who controls this area as of now.
It depends on who you believe (Russian map right).
Here is another Russian map, rather going with the Ukrainian version (my latest map version).
It is from today!
