Several expatriates intel officials are investigating were affiliated with three Russian tech initiatives:
Skolkovo technology area (govt subsidized Moscow Silicon Valley)
the Russian Venture Company
Russian Quantum Center (operates 12 labs near Moscow)

People of interest include tech co. founder/investor Serguei Beloussov, Skolkovo founder Viktor Vekselberg who invested in tech companies through CA venture firm Maxfield Capital, Skolkovo board member Alexander Galitsky who created CA firm Almaz Capital

Beloussov (changed name to Serg Bell) founded Runa Capital and security company Acronis, which won US govt contracts. He hired Masha Drokova (married name Bucher) at Runa and Acronis - Drokova began a fund, Day One Ventures. All deny close ties to Russia.

Another interesting name in this article is Sergey Viktorovich Kuzmin aka Kouzmine who was managing partner of the Quantum Wave Fund - founded by Beloussov and where Drokova also worked.

I highlighted a few of the entities and people noted in the article, but this is one to read and bookmark - I can't count how often many of these names have surfaced in the networks I research, from Vekselberg to Skolkovo to Runa, Drokova, Kouzmine, etc.
