1/ Sell your #LightningNetwork #LN ⚡️ liquidity on ipayblue.com.
This service is already active since November, but
we recently raised ⏫ the ppm we pay to you to 1150!
A thread 🧵 explaining ways you can make money on #LN!
2/ How does it work?
a) Open a channel to amboss.ipayblue.com.
b) Set your fees as low as possible to allow routing to our node and move liquidity to our side (part or full channel capacity).
c) When the desired liquidity is on our side, you can request channel closure.
3/ When this is done, we will keysend you an amount of sats (your income) and close the channel.
We currently pay 1150 ppm (subject to change) for sats you push to our side.
So, open a 10M sat channel to us, move sats to our side, we keysend you 11,500 sats and close the channel.
4/ How can you move liquidity to our side?
Moving liquidity to our side can be: organic (free to you, you collect all the revenue) or paid (your profit in this case will be revenue - costs).
Paid can be of multiple types, let us, explain just some of these below ⏬.
5/ a) You actively rebalance-out our channel using @uu7201's regolance-lnd (github.com/rkfg/regolancer), @c_otto83's rebalance-lnd (github.com/C-Otto/rebalan…) or any other custom rebalance script. You basically pay a fee to move liquidity from your side to our side.
6/ b) You make sure to pay all your #LN invoices through our channel. This can be done by command line specifying exactly the outgoing channel id.
lncli payinvoice ... --outgoing_chan_id $chid
So, whenever you pay something over #LN, it will use your funds from our channel.
7/ c) You create an account on various custodial wallets / exchanges (WOS, Bitfinex, Nicehash, Kraken, etc.), fund these accounts via LN, and make sure you pay those funding invoices through our channel (as explained at 6/ b).
8/ cont. c) The advantage of this approach is that you can get back the funds from these services onchain (attention! there are costs you need to consider!) and start the process again (creating a new channel with us and following the above approach over and over again).
9/ cont. c) Please note, that you must take into consideration the custodial risk of the mentioned services.
Except c) there is absolutely no risk for you other than opening / closing a channel (which you most probably already do several times a month).
10/ That's it, guys, thanks for reading!
Through this thread, we showed you, how can you generate some additional profit by actively managing your #Lightning node.
