#Ukraine: ❗ A very notable development - new Ukrainian-made artillery ammunition started to reach the frontlines.
Here we can see OF-25T 152mm HE projectiles, made in 2022 - they can be fired from D-20/Msta-B towed howitzers and 2S3/Msta-S SPHs.
The index of the projectile (OF-25T) slightly differs from the classic Soviet OF-25 projectile, presumably due to the different manufacturing process. The projectiles are assembled from several milled parts - which in this case allow their identification.
The explosives used also differ to Soviet OF-25- less powerful TNT is used instead of A-IX-2.
From the available information Ukroboronprom also reloads fired cases with new propellant charges - in some photos, in addition to the usual Soviet markings, you can see new ones dating back to 2022.
Ukrainian artillery rounds have never gone into mass production prior to February 24, and the manufacturing process itself, in the form of making projectiles from several milled parts, received a lot of negative feedback back then.
However, if the problems with projectiles were solved and they managed to expand production to an amount that could have an impact on the battlefield, this would be a significant addition to what Ukraine now receives from factories abroad producing Warsaw Pact ammunition.
*Turned, not milled, as many accounts have said to us....🙃
Our identification of the projectiles as Ukrainian-made was confirmed by UkrOboronProm🙂
