I’m not here to argue with people. I was disabled by Covid three long years ago. I’ll happily provide the data and information, but it’s not my job to personally convince those who are running in circles, stuck in denial, to change their behavior. I plan to sit back & wait.

It’s not my job to convince you the situation in the nation’s hospitals is dire. It’s not my job to beg you not to be ableist & gross.

If you want to pretend things are fine while you maim yourself & your kids, I’m not going to beg you to stop. I don’t have the energy anymore.

I’m not going to argue with *physicians* who insist everything is fine while I can’t get care safely or participate in society, hospitals haven’t been this full throughout the pandemic, everyone is sick, & it’s ONGOING.

I can’t engage in magical thinking & fantasy. I won’t.

What happens is fearful and ableist people start to freak out a little bit, and they unload all their fears and rage on to the disabled, high-risk, and those who are trying to warn. We’re convenient targets. Many think if they get rid of the messengers, the problem goes away.

Even medical professionals will pop into my mentions trying to play “Gotcha!” wanting me to argue with them about how things aren’t bad.

This is what Covid did to me. There’s no answers. No acknowledgment. There’s MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of us. Things are not fine.

We are the canaries in the coal mine, & everyone is ignoring us. After my acute infection in 2020, I was diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder. Post-Covid damage is more obvious. It will take a while for these long-term effects to show up in the masses, but they’re coming.

Media platforms many of the physicians who cater solely to the ruling class. Their patients have ALL the resources, & they aren’t bearing the brunt of Covid. Based on this limited experience, they demand we apply their conclusions to the population as a whole, & “move on.”
