Decoding Zira --
Mansurwal, a hamlet in Zira tehsil has become the sight of an overwhelming protest wave organized by Samyukta Kisan Morcha. It is the lone defiance of a few farmers who are braving extremes to demand their right to clean water.

Villagers have become victims of ground water contamination that has given rise to cases of Hepatits B and Cancer. The ethanol plant owned by Malbros Industries in the vicinity has been the site of numerous controversies concerning adherence to safety standards of operation.

Inspite of repeated entreats by the villagers there has been no conclusive progress on the part of the present incumbent to redress the villagers and their sufferings. Instead of entertaining their pleas, battons were used to silence their voices. #ZiraSanjhaMorcha

Industrial operations at the cost of people's lives & a wanton disregard for humanity reduces a voter to a mere number. It's a mockery of human life & its prestige. Farmers have been discredited, humiliated and left in to continue their protests for 5 months now.#ZiraSanjhaMorcha

Few questions ---
Do the poor and the deprived have a right to clean water ?
Do the men who till the soil have a right to clean water for their fields and their family ?
As a netizen can you exercise your right to convey their struggle to those ignorant of it ?
