A degree of casual disrespect for women's a natural byproduct of understanding them. Not hatred, resentment or anything quite so actively energetic, but more a casual sexism. All sharp men with good sense are sexists, because it's impossible to have seen women so nakedly + not be

Truly, to respect women as much as polite society asks you to, you must inhabit a world of lies and delusion.

It's impossible to respect them that much, yet understand them so deeply.

It's either one or the other. You can't have both.

And yet the poetry and dualism to all this, is unlike resentment, sexism does not preclude romance or paternalism. In fact in the case of the latter, it augments it. When a sexist man cares for a woman, he is a more protective man *precisely* because he views her as less able.

Why would a man be so protective and caring towards a woman he believed was equal?

Vulnerability is feminine and the absence of it is unattractive.

It is only in seeing her as lesser that he can give her and be more for her.

But the modern woman's ego can't handle that truth.

If your young children didn't really need you, would your urge to parent be as strong? You don't see young children as being on your level, they're more vulnerable, weaker, needier, and you don't really respect or look up to them, but that doesn't stop you loving them does it?

I think women demand respect because they don't understand how men love

Men don't need to admire u to love you, only care for you

But a woman cannot love a man she doesn't respect, so she thinks she'll be mistreated or unloved if she isn't looked up to, when this isn't the case

A man doesn't need to be impressed by what a woman can do to care for her. She need only be a pure soul. That is sufficient to make a man care about a woman.

But a woman must be impressed. He must be more competent and ruthless, or she doesn't care. Totally different dynamic.
