Doug Holmes was the Chairman for Parents for Choice in Education. As she states on the non-profit's website, "Allison grew up discussing school choice at the dinner table and the passion has never left her. "

Connecting some other dots. Libertas Institute is a 501(c)3 non-profit that classifies itself as a “think tank” and educational organization on its website.

Libertas is part of the State Policy Network. "...State Policy Network (SPN), an umbrella organization with the purpose of founding and nurturing local “think tanks” in every state. Another member of the SPN, is the American Legislative Exchange Council (known as ALEC).

Do any Utah Legislator have a connection to ALEC? Utah's State Senate President Stuart Adams served as the National Chairman of ALEC in 2021

The sponsor of #HB215 Representative Candace Pierucci as well as many others (pictured here is Rep. Kira Berkeland), attended the ALEC Conference in 2021 which was held in Salt Lake City, Utah.

At that meeting, Cory DeAngelis spoke about defunding public education. He spoke alongside Stride K12 execs. Many of these people and orgs would make MILLIONS diverting public dollars into the pockets of private and charter schools. As Allison Sorenson said, "The money is there."

Rep. Pierucci as well as DeAngelis use the phrase, "fund students not systems." By funding the students, the money follows the students into these private and charter schools. This accomplishes their longtime defund public education goal. reimaginedonline.org/2022/03/deange…

2021 wasn't the first time Utah State legislators attended an ALEC conference. In 2020, @betterutah reported on the group of Utah State Representatives and Senators who attended. That list includes #HB215 Senate sponsor, Senator Kirk Cullimore.

Utah is following the path of many conservative states around the country of diverting education dollars into private and charter schools, but not for the benefit of the students. It's the ultimate multi-level scam at the expense of the American education system.
