#AntimicrobialResistance (AMR) occurs when
🔸 bacteria
🔸 viruses
🔸 fungi
🔸 parasites

no longer respond to medicines,

🚨 making infections harder to treat
🚨 increasing the risk of disease spread, severe illness & death.

Bacterial #AntimicrobialResistance (AMR) contributes to almost 5 million deaths per year, disproportionately affecting low- and middle-income countries.

Antimicrobials have been overused & misused for years, making some of them ineffective.

People, plants & animals are now dying from infections that were once treatable.
