Bateriku was founded by Azarol Faizi.
He entered the automotive industry in 2006 by supplying batteries to OEM manufacturers & their service centres.
Then he ventured into battery reconditioning tech to help reduce costs.
Azarol failed & lost money. But that wasn't the end.
It was business as usual until...
The gig economy was rising in 2012, with companies like MyTaxi (Grab) & FoodPanda entering the market.
And Azarol saw the gap in the market for battery replacements for consumers.
He wanted to make it easy & seamless for the people.
In 2014, he pivoted his 7-person team & transformed it to serve car owners in need (B2C).
Bateriku was born, solving a pain point & ready to disrupt the automotive industry.
They send Mobile Technicians directly to road users to deliver, inspect & replace batteries on demand.
In 2015, they started to build a network of Dealers under the 'BPreneur' Program to support B2C & B2B clients.
In 2017, they launched the Bateriku Customer App for a seamless customer experience.
They also crowdsourced their technicians to cope with the rapid growth.
They call their freelance technicians as BHero & they've trained close to 1,000 BHero nationwide.
And more than RM10 million worth of commissions were paid out.
They opened Akademi Bateriku to provide on-the-job training for the B40s.
A huge impact to the community.
Bateriku then expanded their on-demand battery solution by offering full-fledge Roadside Assistance to car owners.
Services include: diagnostic, tyre replacement, fuel top-ups, car lockout, tow trucks etc.
They partnered with car insurance providers & other tech companies too.
Bateriku has served close to 1 million customers through their hassle-free breakdown assistance.
They've onboarded almost 100 BPreneurs to help them generate more income.
Bateriku is opening more than 150 Bateriku retail outlets or Pitstops nationwide including Sabah & Sarawak.
Bateriku is not just about selling batteries.
They're building their ecosystem of BHero, BPreneur, BBuddy (workshops partners) to disrupt the market.
Their main asset is its network of BHero & theyβre being upskilled to perform multiple services to give values for car owners.
Azarol & his team are not slowing down & soon expanding in Southeast Asia.
Their network is growing by the day.
