IMPORTANT: The student should not be judged for the veracity of these manuscripts, models, and maps. I am sure they are a very capable scientist and what has been done with the p53 models to analyse the mutants is thorough and the presented interpretations
(after the fact of model validation) in both manuscripts are good. Responsibility of the poorly validated maps and models however lies solely on the PI. This is clear as they are the common denominator across all flagged manuscripts and are the head of the lab.
This also applies to other students in the Kelly Lab.
