Man City v Newcastle: 2 (1.34 xG) – 0 (0.43 xG)
On current form, Foden is the one to have but we're unlikely to get him now for a few weeks and by then who knows...
Arsenal v Bournemouth: 3 (2.60 xG) – 2 (1.32 xG)
Haaland captainers got away with it here! As did non-Odegaard owners.
Villa v Crystal Palace: 1 (1.17 xG) – 0 (0.17 xG)
Watkins reverted to type 😉
Brighton v West Ham: 4 (3.56 xG) – 0 (0.38 xG)
Mac Allister isn't really a 10, he's more of a free 8 that runs into the box (like Gundo).
It's still debatable who the best Brighton midfield option is but at the rate they're racking up xG just pick any two and stick.
Chelsea v Leeds: 1 (1.52 xG) – 0 (0.94 xG)
The wing back system led to a much needed win and CS. It also places Chillwell high on my radar.
Wolves v Spurs: 1 (0.44 xG) – 0 (1.34 xG)
Spurs played better in this loss than they have in several of their wins.
Porro is starting to show what they paid all that money for.
Southampton v Leicester: 1 (1.38 xG) – 0 (1.90 xG)
That's 2 wins in 3 for Southampton. They might not be whipping boys anymore.
Leicester are still inconsistent but Maddison is always heavily involved & was unlucky not to return.
Forest v Everton: 2 (0.91 xG) – 2 (1.70 xG)
Johnson isn't a bad 3rd striker option.
Everton are not shutting shop. They're using a very direct approach that will result in creating a lot of BC.
Liverpool v Man Utd: 7 (2.65 xG) – 0 (0.88 xG)
I don't need to say much here. It was very much a freak game aided by ETH's setup.
Liverpool have momentum now and top 4 is easily in touching distance. We might need to plan to get them back earlier than we thought.
