NPC (meme) - Wikipedia

The design of the NPC meme character is based on Wojak (Polish: Wojak, lit. 'warrior, soldier') a meme created in Microsoft Paint in 2010. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NPC_(meme)

The earliest currently known "Wojak" is the nickname of a Polish user on the English-speaking board /int/ of the defunct German imageboard Krautchan, who started posting the image around 2010, often accompanied with lament about not having a girlfriend.

Wojak was also paired

with the template phrase "that feel" or "that feel when", shortened to "tfw".

Some variants paired him with the character Pepe the Frog (catchphrase "feels good man/feels bad man") in what Feldman describes as a "platonic romance within the memescape".

In March 2022, Elon Musk tweeted a version of the NPC meme.

Eric Weinstein, the director of Thiel Capital, stated that when he coined the term Intellectual Dark Web "half-joking". This occurred after Weinstein's brother, biologist Bret Weinstein, resigned in 2017 from his

position as professor of biology at the Evergreen State College in response to protests against his criticism of a campus event that asked white students to stay off campus, as opposed to the previous annual tradition of black students voluntarily absenting themselves. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

In June 2019, Weinstein began the DarkHorse Podcast on his YouTube channel, which is usually co-hosted with his wife Heather.

On January 29, 2021, Heather Heying appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher along with Weinstein, presenting the "Lab Leak" hypothesis around the origins

of SARS-CoV-2.

On January 24, 1968, "The Evergreen State College" was selected from 31 choices as the name of the new institution. On November 1, 1968, Charles J. McCann assumed the first presidency of the college. McCann and the founding faculty held the first day of classes

October 4, 1971, with 1128 students. McCann served from 1968 until stepping down to join the faculty June 6, 1977, when former Governor Daniel J. Evans, who signed the legislation creating Evergreen, assumed the presidency. Evans left the president's office in 1983 when he was

appointed to the United States Senate to fill the vacancy created by the death of Senator Henry M. Jackson.

Serial killer Ted Bundy served as a campaign aide for Evans, and maintained a close relationship with the governor. During the 1972 campaign, Bundy followed Evans's

Democratic opponent around the state, tape recording his speeches, and reporting back to Evans personally. A minor scandal later followed when the Democrats found out about Bundy, who had been posing as a college student and serial killing.

In 2005, the Henry Jackson Society was

formed at the University of Cambridge, England.

The initial signatories of the statement of principles included:
•Members of Parliament Michael Ancram, Michael Gove, Edward Vaizey, David Willetts, Denis MacShane, Fabian Hamilton, Gisela Stuart,
•former MPs David Trimble,

Jackie Lawrence, Greg Pope,
•former soldier Tim Collins,
•Richard Dearlove, former head of the British Secret Intelligence Service, and formerly Master of Pembroke College, Cambridge
•American economist Irwin Stelzer.
•Times Journalist Oliver Kamm

International patrons included Richard Perle, William Kristol, former CIA Director R. James Woolsey Jr., and former Lithuanian leader Vytautas Landsbergis.

Through his decades of work for the CIA, Stefan Halper has had extensive ties to the Bush family. Through his work with

Sir Richard Billing Dearlove, he had ties to the British Secret Intelligence Service, MI6.

In 1983, United Press International (UPI) suggested that Halper's handler for this operation was Reagan's vice presidential candidate, ex-CIA director George H. W. Bush, who worked with

Halper's father-in-law, ex-CIA-Deputy-Director Ray S. Cline.

From 1984 to 1990 Halper was chairman and majority shareholder of the Palmer National Bank of Washington, D.C., the National Bank of Northern Virginia and the George Washington National Bank. Palmer National Bank was

used to transfer money to Swiss Bank Accounts controlled by White House aid Oliver North.

Halper acted as an FBI informant for Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections.

Beginning in summer 2016, Halper spoke

separately to three Trump campaign advisers – Carter Page, Sam Clovis and George Papadopoulos – but there is no evidence that Halper had actually joined Trump's campaign. Halper first met Carter Page at a symposium at the University of Cambridge organized by Steven Schrage.

Schrage’s father graduated from the United States Military Academy, where he was captain of a basketball team that included future U.S. Olympic coaches, point guard Mike Krzyzewski and coach Bobby Knight, and later served as an Army Ranger and helicopter pilot in Vietnam.

Inspired by Mick Jagger, of all people, Peter Strzok code-named the operation Crossfire Hurricane. "'Jumpin' Jack Flash' was running through my mind, and one of the lyrics, Mick Jagger kind of swaggering with a tasty bulge so plump I couldn’t help but wonder if he was sprouting

a half mast boner and saying, 'I was born in a crossfire hurricane.' And I thought, 'That's a pretty good name. There are worse things than naming something after a hot guys bulge.”
