Everyone knows about ChatGPT but very few know about Typing Mind.
It will make your ChatGPT experience better, easier, faster.
Think of it as ChatGPT 2.0
Here's how to set it up:
Log on to your OpenAI account at platform(dot)openai(dot)com.
[ChatGPT is made by OpenAI]
Click on your profile photo and then select "View API keys."
API stands for Application Programming Interface. And an API key is used to identify and authenticate a user.
Copy your secret API key.
You can also create a new key by clicking on "Create new secret key."
Now go to typingmind(dot)com and click on "OpenAI API Key" in the bottom left corner of your screen.
Typing Mind will ask you to enter your OpenAI API key.
Paste the API key you copied from your OpenAI account.
Click on "Save API Key" and you are all set.
Typing Mind has various chat characters and a whole prompt library.
Typing Mind's Prompt Library contains helpful prompts about grammar correction, translation, and writing.
I chose the prompt "Act as an AI Writing Tutor" and ran one of my zero drafts through it with the following prompt:
"Please remove redundant words from this passage and make it coherent and cohesive."
Typing Mind's edited version is positive, engaging, and closer to my personal style, especially the sentence structure.
I ran the same paragraph through ChatGPT with the same prompt.
ChatGPT's version is not as engaging. It's bland and lacks the charm that Typing Mind added to my writing.
Speaking of prompts, I just updated my tutorial "Become an Efficient Academic Writer with AI apps"
with ten ChatGPT and Bing prompts to help you supercharge your academic writing.

And here's what people are saying about my tutorial:
• "Super helpful...for overcoming the writer's block. I've learned to use AI tools and it's been a game changer."
• "Completely changed the way I approach my academic writing."
• "Worth every cent."
Back to Typing mind:
It has this great feature of Chat Search that ChatGPT doesn't.
To search your all your chats, just go to the search bar in the top-left corner and type in the word(s) you want to look up.
Typing Mind also has various chat characters like Language Tutor, Tech Writer, and Career Counselor.
I selected Language Tutor and asked it to tell me about how to write a topic sentence.
It gave me a clear and precise answer with an example.
I asked ChatGPT the same question.
ChatGPT's answer was long and wordy with no example.
