Best Picture winner "Everything, Everywhere All At Once" explores existential themes, even if it does not engage w/ organized religion.

Interestingly, a woman also sings "Ave Maria" in one scene. 2/6

Nominee "Women Talking" tells the story of horrific abuse in a separatist Mennonite community and explores deep religious themes.

"The Banshees of Inisherin" takes place in deeply Catholic Ireland w/ scenes depicting mass and confession. 3/6

"The Fabelmans" is based on Stephen Spielberg's Orthodox Jewish upbringing and depicts Hanukkah, anti-Semitic bullying, and attempts at interfaith dating.

"Avatar: The Way of Water" takes place on a fictional planet with its own religious system that leans towards pantheism. 4/6

"All Quiet on the Western Front" has a Catholic main character. Soliders pray and quote Christian scripture at times.

"Elvis" depicts the singer's real-life fascination w/ gospel music and includes a tent revival conducted by Black Christians. 5/6

"Tar," "Top Gun: Maverick," and "Triangle of Sadness" are the only BP nominees w/o deep religious content.
