Why is this sign in Romania important?
Because it hides the lie.
The lie that burning trees for energy is good for the climate.
The sign says "Our most precious value is nature. Let's take care of her."

Behind the sign above is a pellet plant.
Stacked in the yard are giant piles of trees including massive old trees, ready to be crushed into pellets.
The EU calls this renewable energy.
The sign said to take care of nature. This is not care, this is abuse.

These trees are not by-products, they are targeted to be logged to make pellets.
Without incentives, they would still be alive in a forest.
This is a scandal.
Tomorrow, Wed March 29th, EU leaders can help stop this.

Look at this photo. This forest was logged for pellets.
The #biomass industry says they only use tops and branches of tress.
The opposite is true. The trunks are gone but the tree tops and small branches are left.
