The Srimad Shiva Gita is Narated To Prabu Sri Ram By Lord Paramashiva

[๐Ÿญ/๐—ก]

The Srimad Shiva Gita is a dialogue between Lord Shiva and Shri Ram. Lord Shiva narrated Shiva Gita to Sri Rama

Shiva Gita teaches us the path to Salvation.

This Shiva Gita Can Be Found in Uttara kฤnda of Padma Purฤna.

The Shiva Gita begins with a specific mention to an episode taken from the Ramayana epic.

Sri Rama is shown being despondent over the loss of Sita.

At this time, Sri Rama meets Sage Agastya. Sri Rama narrates the incident of the loss of Sita to Sage Agastya.

The Sage Agastya Gives Viraja-Deeksha To Prabu Sri Ram in some Places it's Mentioned as Pashupata Vrata

In Valmiki Ramayana it's Mentioned as Aditya Hrudayam

So, these differences in stories between Valmiki Ramayana and Shiva Gita could be understood as due to โ€ Kalpa Bhedaโ€

As advised by sage Agastya, Sri Rama observes the Vrata and at the end of four months period receives a divine vision of Lord Shiva.

After this Rama puts a series of questions before Lord Shiva.

The dialogue that happens between Lord Shiva and Sri Rama is Known as Shiva Gita.

The Shiva Gita has a central theme & a message for the seekers of truth.

Shiva Gita primarily focuses on the preaching of Lord Shiva who is portrayed as the Parabraham of Vedas. It reveals the path to salvation.

Contents of Shiva Gita are Given in Attached Picture๐Ÿ‘‡

It's Mentioned is Chapter 5th of Shiva Gita That
Mahadev Paramashiva Gives Sri Rama a celestial & great bow, an inexhaustible quiver of arrows & the supreme weapon by name MahaPashupatastra

Note : Pashupatastra & MahaPashupatastra are Different in their capabilities

Asper Ch-7 vishwroopa sandarshna yoga of Shiv Gita, Lord Shiva Also Shown His Virat Rup To Prabu Sri Ram during Their conversation.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Note : Images of Lord Siva's Virat Rup is Very rare & I can't Guarantee it's same Bellow

The Knowledge of Shiva Gita First Ever Passed
to Sri Ram by Lord Shiva in Dandakaranya Van

Then to Sanatkumara from son of Lord Shiva Skanda, Sanatkumara to Veda Vyasa & Vyasa Passes The Knowledge of Shiva Gita to Sรผta Maharshi

Shiv Gita is documented by Veda Vyasa himself.

The verses of Shiva Gita also exists in Upanishads like Svetawsatara, Atharvasiras, Kaivalaya Hence it is equal to reading the verses of the Upanishads

So Shiva Geeta is the Boon to Humans & other living beings in this universe & Teaches us Shiv Tattwa ,Vedanta & Non Duality

Shiva Gita has not become as famous since many people think Gita means only Bhagwad Gita ๐Ÿ˜‰
