The #Meitei Hindus were systematically targeted in this pre-planned attack by Kuki Christians.
Their homes and livelihoods are totally destroyed. At least 27 villages have been wiped out. Even on May 7th the Kuki Christians bunt down a poultry farm. (2/n)

More than 2000 refugees were forced to leave for Cachar in Assam. 600 refugees took shelter in Mizoram.
The number of refugees is likely to exceed 30000 soon.

Hoarders of petrol have been selling it at prices as high as 250 Rs./litre. Price of essential food items have skyrocketed.
Almost all the hotels have closed their gates and refused to take in customers. The staff staying in the hotel has led to non availabilty of rooms. (4/n)

1) Missionary hatred for Hindus, their expansionism on the restricted Meitei land and discriminatory land laws against Meiteis
2) The opium cultivation on reserved hill area lands
