I need your help in sharing my latest experience with @bookingcom and Akicity apartments.
They have unjustly labeled me as a tourist seeking a free stay in a luxurious apartment, which couldn't be further from the truth.
I refuse to let them get away with this.

Please spread the word within your network and travel groups (by sharing the link/post below, not this one) to help me raise awareness. It would mean a lot! 🙌🏻
Here‘s what happened:
Check-in: I found myself stranded on the street with my luggage for a 45 min. An Uber Eats driver, who didn’t speak English, handed me the key while delivering food to customers. The language barrier made it impossible to obtain essential information, such as the Wi-Fi password.
During my business trip, I urgently required a second set of keys for a friend who stayed in the apartment with me for two nights. However, this request was not fulfilled, adding unnecessary stress to our stay.
I was confronted with cleanliness standards that were shockingly subpar, with trash and fake fingernails scattered across the shelves, food scraps lingering in the microwave, and even moldy toilet paper. The state of the rental was simply unacceptable.
I promptly reached out to @bookingcom and Akicity through various channels. I provided detailed messages, made numerous calls, and even shared photographic evidence, all in an attempt to highlight the severity of the situation.
I was not offered alternative accommodation, the apartment has not been cleaned, I did not get a refund, all of which I suggested to find a solution.
To exacerbate matters, the resolution offered by a @bookingcom representative named Victor (?) was wholly inadequate. He abruptly ended the call when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the proposed compensation of a mere €25 voucher.
Considering the severity of the situation, this response was completely unacceptable.
As a long-standing customer of @bookingcom with a clean track record of successful bookings. I do not raise complaints without just cause.
It is disheartening to find myself in a position, forced to voice my concerns through social media platforms!
Akicity made false claims, stating the apartment I booked has been cleaned and even pretended to send someone for a 2nd cleaning two days ago, which is an outright lie!
I implore @bookingcom to recognize the significance of this experience and take immediate and decisive action to rectify the situation.
Thanks for sharing! 🙌🏻
Because people were asking: Akicity charged 952€ for 4 nights for this unique experience. I was certainly not booking or expecting a cheap experience.
Update:
Today, someone has finally visited the apartment and addressed a few of the concerns. I can confirm that the trash from the shelves and food stains from the microwave have been removed. However, the moldy toilet paper, and the stains on the floor still remain unresolved.
I also had a look at the oven today… see for yourself (photo).
It is crucial to note that these improvements were made only today, on the third day of my stay, with my check-out scheduled for tomorrow morning.
Considering the timing and the partial resolution, I am left questioning the standard of cleanliness that you aim to offer your guests.
Akicity and Booking.com, I kindly request your statement on the current state of cleanliness in this accommodation.
Is this the level of quality that you find acceptable for your guests? I believe it is essential to address these concerns to ensure a satisfactory experience for future guests.
