Synopsis
1) The victim is a commerce student, he was never interested in politics
2) The Meiteis in Moreh had previously faced violence, loot and arson by the Kukis during the ILP protests in 2015. That time they were able to fight back with their limited licensed weapons. (2/9) twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

3) Since 2015 a huge number of illegal burmese immigrants have settled in & around Moreh forming villages like Haolenphai, Minou, Molcham & Joldam. 4) In the victim's exp.,most Kukis in Moreh are decent people & they were provoked by Kukis from CCpur.

6) Blank firing & firing in air from sophisticated weapons were done amidst loud screams to burn down everything & the drum roll like noise of lamposts being beaten.

9) Both the businesses of the victim were burnt down in the arson. Thankfully his father managed to reach home safely.

11) Next morning around 20 members of the victim's family were taken to the Army Relief Camp, Moreh by the Assam Rifles.
12) The Victim's father, 2 uncles and aunt who had psychiatric issues and bone TB in her spine had to stay back for medical and security reasons. (7/9)

13) Proper care was impossible for my Aunt and the stress caused her to have a heart attack. She passed away on 8th May. With total support from AR she was cremated that night
14) My family stayed till 12th May in the relief under extremely hard conditions and poor hygiene. (8/9)

15) The convoy carrying their family on 12 th night were fired upon and pelted with stones. Xenophobic slogans were hurled against the Meiteis.
16) Divide and rule policy worked and the cosmopolitan city of Moreh could not provide a united and effective resistance. (9/9)
