Since Roger Waters is trending I would like to remind you his politics and ethics have always been horrid.

During a concert in 2018 Waters smeared the White Helmets, a rescue group working in opposition held Syria, as “jihadists.”

As of 2018 the group had saved 114,000 lives

Waters is regularly quoted by Russia Today due to his pro-Putin talking points.

Here is Waters spouting Assadist propaganda on a podcast. Waters claimed that Assad never used chemical weapons on his own people. He then encourages the audience to read Grayzone, a known pro-Putin/Assad conspiracy site.

Waters also supports Venezuela's authoritarian Maduro leadership. Roger’s condemned artists trying to fundraise for Venezuelans suffering under Maduro’s rule. In return Maduro sent him a signed personal gift which he proudly received.

Network of Syria conspiracy theorists identified – how a coordinated disinformation campaign sent thousands of tweets, often targeting the White Helmets:

theguardian.com/world/2022/jun…

“A new report reveals how bots and trolls linked to Russia have reached an estimated 56 million people with tweets attacking Syria’s search and rescue organisation, The White Helmets – during ten key moments of 2016 and 2017.” thesyriacampaign.org/russian-trolls…

Video of Roger Waters justifying China’s aggression towards Taiwan:

Another example of atrocity denialism from Waters as he argues Assad never used chemical weapons. Waters justifies his conspiracies by quoting known propagandist Aaron Maté who once admitted to passing info about Syrian dissidents to Russian officials.
