It all start in February, when I get a text from a source who complains of a scam called "Traders Domain". I was looking for a new story so... 🤷♂️
It was supposedly an "offshore forex broker" promising insane returns. But notably, they weren't allowed to accept U.S. investors.
I thought this was strange because my source was from the U.S...
I asked him about this and he told me that he wasn't brought in directly, but through a "sponsor"... I found this strange. It's very akin to how Bernie Madoff used "Feeder Funds"
Also strange was the fact that our victim was not sending money offshore, but rather to an American shell company.
quickly I found out that wires were being hidden using explicit wire instructions to avoid being flagged as "investments".
BIG RED FLAG.
Then came the victims. Hundreds, thousands of them.
All coming through DIFFERENT people. I started charting it out. It was messy at first, here's an early draft of my flowchart.
Eventually as I spoke to them a pattern emerged. There was a guy at the top, in the shadows running the whole thing.
VIctims would hear whispers of a "master trader". A strange Canadian named Ted Safranko. Is this our modern Bernie Madoff? Watch and find out. :)
