Production was planned to be organized at the Bogdan Motors plant, which previously belonged to the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. The company specialized in the production of buses and civilian vehicles.

Then they actively tried to renew the army and often presidential factories were chosen for this, but in this case the project could not be implemented, despite the fact that a certain number of cars were even brought to Ukraine.

In the photo, the Bogdan-6317 truck is based on the Belarusian MAZ-6317, the production of which was established at this plant.

The last time in Ukraine the KIA KM-450 was remembered in 2021, when it was planned to produce a command vehicle of the K1450-06 type on its basis to replace the obsolete P-125 based on the UAZ-3151.

By the way, it is worth mentioning that the Bars-6 armored car was created on the basis of the KM-450, which also did not go into series.

In May of this year, 20 KIA KM-450 cars, previously owned by the bankrupt Bogdan Motors company, were put up for auction. The unit price was $35,180.
