Remember #Leicesterviolence in 2022?
Propaganda machinery is at it again to rehash the Hindu vs Muslim to hide Islamists footprint after their first attempt failed.
An interesting coincidence that @MailOnline , @MaktoobMedia ,& @Pawankhera find common cause with!
A Thread:
#Leicester violence followed by #INDvsPAK cricket match led to tensions b/w fans of both nations. It was turned into communal clash via fake news & claims. To recap, fake news shared by terror-sympathizing Islamists amplified it on social media.
(2/10)
It was appalling to see how the communal spin was given to the entire incident by terror-sympathizing Islamists like Majid Freeman (@Majstar7) who shared fake news (later deleted them) & was still given space by @thewire_in, @guardian, & @BBCNews
(3/10)
Majid played a key role in planting in exacerbating unrest by targeting Indians. This Majid is yet another radical Islamist who was exposed as a supporter of terror outfit #AlQaeda

The machinery has activated again, peddling the same rhetoric. This time it began with Daily Mail (@MailOnline) publishing a story claiming violence was stoked by India’s Ruling Party based on some “Sources”, with no evidence!
A perfectly spun junk of a piece amplified!
(5/10)
This new attempt by Daily Mail to reinforce the narrative based on some “Sources” had done its part. Few days later, Maktoob media released a documentary on the Leicester violence following exactly the same script.
And what did it claim?
(6/10)
The documentary targeted India’s Ruling party & Hindu nationalism behind violence. All based on ‘Zero’ evidence & testimonies of people like Al Qaeda supporter Majid Freeman, Audrey Truschke, Raqib Hameed Naik & IAMC’s Rasheed Ahmed.
Do they really need any introduction?
(7/10)
Surprisingly, BBC that had initially reported on Leicester violence giving space to Majid Freeman, rectified its reporting with a new story a few days later. BBC unpicked some claims it made & alluded the violence was fanned by misinformation online including by @Majstar7
(8/10)
Interestingly, Indian politician and spokesperson Pawan Khera was among those who fell hard for the narrative echoed Daily Mail and Maktoob media’s propaganda. It is as interesting as how a propaganda is nurtured on social media to set fake narratives.
(9/10)
While these propagandists keep peddling their agenda without any proof, Leicester govt has ordered investigation into the incident, stating no conclusion shall be drawn until its completion.
But somehow propaganda like these seem to find solace on social media easily.
