In addition to this, he was also the Swedish representative within the German far-right organization Fichtebund. -->
Fichtebund
After Adolf Hitler came to power on January 30, 1933, the Fichtebund, with its office in Hamburg, came under the Reich Ministry for Public Information and Propaganda with Professor Heinrich Kessemeier as head. The staff were recruited from groups of former communists.
After the war, Carlberg co-founded the Aid Committee for Germany's Children, which financed German and European Nazis and collaborators on the run.
He financed and was a co-owner of the magazine Nation Europa, published by the so-called Malmö movement.
Alois Hudal, Bishop of Rome, assisted with escape through a network of monasteries called the "monastery route" ("rat line"). The escape route north went through Sweden where Lili Hamilton and Per Engdahl led Stille Hilfe. sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stille_Hi…
The American counterintelligence CIC (Counter Intelligence Corps) employed some ex-servicemen from Germany, as did other Western countries.
Stille Hilfe then tried to create an opinion that the accused should not be sentenced to death in Nürnberg.
"Stille Hilfe" had a second headquarters in Sweden, where the vice-chairman Countess Lili Hamilton and neo-Nazi Per Engdahl held the reins. Via the "escape route north" a large number of war criminals from Sweden were funneled to Latin America or the Middle East.
Among them SS chief ideologue Johann von Leers. Once in Cairo, Leers converted to Islam. As "Amin ben Omar", he was given a high position in Nasser's foreign propaganda service.
