My #indoorairquality & #thermalcomfort lectures in a nutshell...this the stuff we need to teach #architects and #engineers but don't...neither of these fields are complete without understanding human factors. S/o @ashraenews

One of the cool studies I talk about is particle emission from carpets and respiration by infants crawling across the floor...it's a real thing...s/o to Wu & Boor from Purdue

I also tall about the use of PET scans to observe the brain's response to skin heating and cooling...both critical in thermal comfort design.

...and no study is complete without understanding its history...here two labs Kansas State and DTU...both played critical roles in our understanding of humans and their environments.

...and for me personally is studying what dead people taught us a long time ago...dead people knew stuff...stuff that we seem to have forgotten...

...and while governments and academia are trying to solve energy issues it is important to never forget this:
