Whether you work outdoors or enjoy your time out with family and friends, avoid exposure to the #sun between 10:00 am and 04:00 pm to the extent possible.

The sun’s #UV rays are the strongest during this time.

#HealthForAll_ByAll

1⃣Seek shade when UV rays are the most intense, but keep in mind that shade structures such as trees, umbrellas or canopies do not offer complete protection.

Remember the shadow rule: “Watch your shadow – Short shadow, seek shade!”

2⃣Wear protective clothing:

A hat offers good protection for your eyes, ears, face, and the back or your neck sunglasses that provide 99% - 100% UV-A and UV-B protection will greatly reduce eye damage.

Tightly woven, loose fitting clothes will provide additional protection.

3⃣Use sunscreen of SPF 15+ and re-apply every two hours, or after working, swimming, playing or exercising outdoors.

4⃣Avoid sunlamps and tanning parlours!

Sunbeds damage the skin and unprotected eyes, and are the best avoided entirely.
