First matches of V & Z teams are yet another Reo & Isagi parallel, but there’s also an interesting difference in their points of view! Both matches begin with Reo & Isagi starting the game after Nagi & Bachira passed to them:

(Side note: Isagi is nervous while Reo is very confident).
They notice how everyone is charging in at the same time

And their teammates steal the ball from them!! They realize that the reason for it is the second rule of the first selection (best scorer advances no matter what) and start thinking carefully about the situation

Here comes the difference! Isagi is annoyed by the situation and thinks that teammates stealing the ball from each other “isn’t football at all” (I giggled) & Reo’s eyes get shiny and he is amazed by Ego’s plan, thinking that Blue Lock is fun

And then somebody from the opposite team manages to steal the ball away from the mess…

Both of them decide 1-v-1 a mysterious new guy! And here comes another difference: Isagi loses and Barou scores, Reo wins - but loses a ball to Zantetsu - and Zantetsu scores

Team Z gets destroyed afterwards and Isagi & Bachira decide to work for their only goal together. Meanwhile, Reo decides to take advantage of the chaos, break through everyone and score by himself (vs team Y Reo come back we all miss you)

… But both their plans get crushed by the opposite team’s best player (and, in Reo’s case, by Zantetsu too)

Isagi is thinking about what he should do and whether he should face Barou, but decides against it and passes to Kunigami - which results in a goal. Reo decides to face Niko & Zantetsu, wins the 1v2 and scores, which also results in a goal.

Now the opposite team’s strongest guys’ reactions to that… Barou condemns Isagi (which later results in a big character development for him) and Niko acknowledges both Reo & Zantetsu as serious strikers

Team Z’s match is over after that, team V match shows Reo getting worried about Nagi (who finally shows up) because even if team V advances further, he expects that Ego would drop Nagi if he doesn’t show off his value (which shows Reo understanding Blue Lock’s ideals)

That’s not all, though. If we go back to the point where Bachira & Isagi decided to revive the game, we see both Isagi & Reo thinking about what Ego had told them about the first selection’s philosophy and turning “zero” into “one”.

Ego mentioned turning “zero” into “one” in the first selection, but both Isagi & Reo were thinking way ahead of that and talked about turning “one” into “a hundred”

After the game, both try to unite their teams
