#FeteDeLaMusique began in 1982 under then minister of culture Jack Lang during the Presidency of Francois Mitterrand.

It is now celebrated all of France in a majority of communes and arrondissements of which there are 36000. I’ve been to several now all of which were all great.

You get a beer cup for the night $1 and beers cost 4 euros, so like NZ $6. Or for me $18 for a round.

A big drum group getting Jaggy with it.

Another view…. Expect distortion.

Also. It’s all free…. I think on the stages like this the musicians get paid by the ville.

In fact the set is now coming to an end and the singer just thanked the Mayor,

I liked this bit.

Up close.

The Crew.

And the view…. But now it’s getting dark.

Moving on…

The punk quarter is still rocking.

And now an outdoor nightclub in a castle.

The entrance. It’s free so perhaps that’s why it’s not bigger.

But it’s a free dance party in a castle. So mustn’t grumble :)

……

Unlike a regular nightclub this one closes at 12.30 though.

This one is upside down for some reason. Theoretically just four minutes left. Lots of people leaving. And the DJs are holding up an promo banner.

This feels like a good un to end the thread on. Perhaps. It’s worth noting I did but see a single policeman tonight.

… just one more. It’s finished now. (Or PERHAPS not)

THAT WAS #FETEDELAMUSIQUE 2023 DINAN
