I was perusing US Covid media coverage & I was amused to see we’re still hearing from the same rotating list of captured experts who have been wrong about everything since 2020, spectacularly bombing every prediction. The list never changes. It’s always the same people. Thread:

We’ve got Gottlieb, King of Failed Predictions—I’ve done threads on his pandemic prediction failures.

We’ve got Sanjay Gupta, who once again declared the pandemic over in May 2023, & who kicked off the pandemic in 2020 telling us kids didn’t transmit Covid effectively because their “short statures made for less powerful coughs & sneezes.”

We’ve got Leana Wen instructing us to use more Paxlovid four months after we heard variants are already developing resistance to Paxlovid, and 2 months after she was hospitalized for pneumonia in the middle of the summer.

We’ve got Bob Wachter telling us he isn’t masking today and pretending it’s because he has this novel risk calculus that works really well, but really it’s because he just got Covid and busted his face.

We’ve got Ashish “My hope is that in 2023 we will see commercialization of all these (Covid) products” Jha, who rode off into the sunset amid great fanfare over the summer, back again for a new & even more frightening wave in August.

May 2021: “There are all these kind of hidden systemic structures that explain why we get who we get on TV, and only a tiny percentage of that is related to the expertise of the person.” statnews.com/2021/05/18/how…

I will never forget this.

Interview requests go to the optimistic, not the cautious and concerned.

We reopened schools with no mitigation based on the guidance of economist Emily Oster & her Koch-funded database.

We spent 2 years infecting & reinfecting the nation’s children with a BSL-3 novel pathogen, & it continues to this day. levernews.com/how-the-koch-n…

Excellent point

Our “new courageous accept exposure” strategy was detailed here in January by Steven Phillips MD, MPH, former Medical Director for Global Projects at Exxon turned VP Science & Strategy, COVID Collaborative & Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology. time.com/6251077/covid-…

Citation: “My hope is that in 2023, you’re going to see the commercialization of all of these products.” thenation.com/article/societ…

This is why we never make progress.

Leana “I was quietly hospitalized for ‘pneumonia’ this summer” Wen is back to steer the conversation away from “Accept Exposure” to “Accept Disability.”

I missed the Stat News piece, “Long Covid is a new name for an old syndrome,” was written by Exxon’s former Medical Director for Global Projects, the “new courageous accept exposure policies, public education, & behavior change strategies” eugenicist himself, Stephen Phillips.

Andy Slavitt is making an appearance this season.

It is 2023 and mainstream media won’t stop interviewing all the same people who previously drove us off a cliff. The people never change and the guidance never changes either.

EVERYTHING is about protecting business at the expense of humans. The lies aren’t going to stop.
