Midjourney gives you so much creative freedom to express yourself.

Whether you're creating movie trailers, or just playing around to come up with a certain way to communicate a feeling through images, crafting your shot is something you have to consider.

Here is an example where I'm using the same subject (a woman sitting in a diner) and applying different lighting conditions as well as camera angles.

Note: In this case, I have not used any explicit style tokens or names of any movie directors.

Lighting is key to evoke different moods (melancholic, hopeful, etc.)

Camera angles can also change the mood, tone and narrative of a scene.

Give it a go and see how these things improve your images.

Another interesting perspective is the first person point of view (POV). Notice in this image that there are objects really close up that makes it feel like you're sitting across the table from the subject.

The profile shot is another interesting view. If you don't ask for it explicitly, Midjourney tends to give you a frontal view of the person.

But sometimes having the subject look off into the distance makes it a more interesting shot.

And of course, don't forget the camera angle shot from behind the subject. It gives the viewer an idea of what the subject sees.

Using the same subject with backlighting can evoke a sense of foreboding.
